Network Engineer CCNP Load balancing TCP/IP LAN WAN Switch Routing SNMP
Overall Purpose of Role:
3rd line network engineer that will be responsible for the support, preparation, configuration and deployment of network data / security infrastructure.
Support experience is essential but to be industry qualified is not necessary, strong experience must be demonstrated at interview stage and a technical test will be required. The role requires support of multi site infrastructure working within SLAs and change management. Part of a team of 4 to help manage the network environment and provide technical assistance & training.
Responsibilities:
*Maintain and support Network Data / Security Infrastructure.
*Provide 3rd Line technical support for Local and Global infrastructure issues.
*Liaise with other internal teams and external suppliers as necessary.
*Own support issues through to resolution, providing regular feedback to users and updating calls as appropriate in Eservice desk.
*Respond to alerts from monitoring services and investigate as necessary.
*To design and prepare Network equipment in accordance with Infrastructure.
*To configure and install the physical equipment and install configure OS and patch management of all network devices / appliances.
Educational / Experience Requirements:
*Abililty to diagnose and fix network hardware / software / configuration issues.
*In depth knowledge TCP/IP.
*Good Understanding of the following technologies -
Cisco IOS Routing / Switching
Fortigate / Netscreen / Cisco Security products
FS Load balancing both LTM / GTM
Dynamic Routing OSPF, EIGRP, BGP
Multicast Routing
SNMP monitoring tools in both availability monitoring and capacity planning
Personal Specification and Competencies:
Initiative -

*Ability to prioritize own workload and work without direct supervision.
Information Gathering -
*Seeks all possible relevant information for problem solving and decision making and relates to importance of action taken.
Technical Skill and Competence -

*Ability to find and offer solutions to problems or find improvements to other through research and study.
*Keen interest in IT, candidate must enjoy working with computers and technology.
