User Experience Web Developer with strong JavaScript required to form part of our team working on financial trading platform and associated software. A central project is the corporate platform which caters for spread betting, CFD and DMA trading. This platform, is an extremely exciting and cutting edge platform to work on, especially from a front end developers view. My client is looking for a developer who loves technology and who strives towards elegant and efficient design.
You will have at least 2 years proven commercial front end development experience and come from a programming or software engineering background, being expert in javascript, html, css and rich internet application user interfaces. In addition, you should be confident in your own ability, passionate about what you do and willing to work within a busy team environment, as well as being able to work on your own.
General Responsibilities are as follows:
Work within development / project life cycle from analysis to implementation, test and release
Work as part of the development team and as part of the specific development project teams as dictated by project delivery and deadline.
Remain up-to-date in respect of current and future upgrades as they relate to own and teams area of work
Participate in relevant IT and non-IT projects as directed by line-manager
Essential Skills & Experience:
DHTML (3 years)
JavaScript (3 years) STRONG
CSS (3 years)
Cross browser development (3 years)
AJAX, JSP, SVN
You should also have experience of working with complex layouts with AJAX, and developing for all browsers.
Desirable : experience of working within a well-established IT department well versed in IT best practice and procedures will be an advantage
Java, Spring, YUI, jsunit, selenium, maven.
