Real-time Market Data C++ Developer and Research Analyst London £70,000-£80,000 per annum

A leading tier 1 investment bank is looking for a Senior C++ Developer to join their Real-Time Market Data team. The team is responsible for designing, building and maintaining software solutions to retrieve and normalise market data from a wide range of exchanges and brokers covering all asset classes. As a Senior C++ Developer you will be a highly skilled technical expert to help design and build the software to meet the ever challenging requirements of high throughput and low latency. The first part of the role will require you to manage and implement feed development projects as required by mandatory exchange upgrades or changes to business requirements. The second part of the role will be to perform technical research and pilot testing of new products in the market place and to design and pilot new and innovative solutions that will give the client the edge in the low latency game.

You must have excellent knowledge of C++ development including multi-threading; technical expertise in low latency systems; strong Unix/Linux skills; strong network programming skills and experience of managing projects. In addition, you must have a passion for researching technology and a creative, ideas driven and open-minded outlook to ensure that you are able to communicate your ideas to your peers as well as listening to other ideas to ensure the best results.
